URGENT NEED TO ABOLISH MODERN SLAVERY
Modern slavery refers to the exploitation of individuals through forced labour, debt bandage, human trafficking and other forms of coercion. Despite being prohibited by International law, modern slavery, persists in many parts of the world. Anti-Slavery International define modern slavery as,"when an individual is exploited by others, for personal or commercial gain...whether tricked, coerced, or forced, they lose their freedom...and also involve human trafficking, forced labour and dent bandage." According to the International Labour Organisation, 50 million men, women and children in all countries are affected by forced labour. Therefore, ILO has mandated to promote Fundamental Principles and Right at Work, globally, leaving no one behind.
